Your TV20, KBWB-TV San Francisco, is a full service and unique independent television station serving the San Francisco Bay Area. Following 11 years as an affiliate of The WB network, we have forged a new and distinct identity, returning to our roots as an independent television station. With a wide variety of news, entertainment, talk, relationship, comedy, dramas and TV classics, Your TV20 is positioned to serve the Bay Area as a unique entertainment and information alternative.

Our unique brand was further established in September of 2006 as we broke new ground in the Bay Area by being the first to introduce daily “green” programming to broadcast television. Airing 4 times a day, Your Green Report covers the latest information about individuals, organizations, businesses and government entities and their efforts to make a positive difference on the environment. In October, we introduced a public service campaign providing viewers with simple tips that anyone can use in their daily lives to make a positive impact on the Earth’s eco-health. As part of our continuing effort, Your Green Life was launched as the first in a series of regular half-hour shows focusing on sustainable and eco-friendly practices in our lives, including business, home, building, remodeling, consumer products as well as the greater community.

Your TV20 doesn’t preach sustainable practices without applying those practices to our own business environment. In 2005 KBWB was recognized by the State of California Environmental Protection Agency as a 2005 WRAP (Waste Reduction Awards Program) winner. Although we are proud to be recognized in this way, we will not stop there and will continue to look for better ways to implement sustainable practices in all areas of our company.

In addition to our Green initiatives, our new role as an independent presented the opportunity to provide the night’s first local news from a well known and trusted brand – ABC7 News at 9 on Your TV20! Premiering in January 8, 2007, ABC7 News at 9 airs weeknights in Primetime on Your TV20 furthering our goal to provide viewers with the latest local and national news, weather, and sports at a convenient and appealing time. Anchored by Dan Ashley along with Meteorologist Sandhya Patel and Sports Anchor Larry Beil, the newscast also includes contributions from 7 On Your Side, the ITeam and Dr. Dean Edell.

Your TV20 is owned and operated by Granite Broadcasting Corporation. GBC owns and operates, or provides programming, sales and other services to 23 channels in the following 11 markets: San Francisco, California; Detroit, Michigan; Buffalo, New York; Fresno, California; Syracuse, New York; Utica, New York; Binghamton, New York; Elmira, New York; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Peoria, Illinois; and Duluth, Minnesota-Superior, Wisconsin. The Company’s channel group includes affiliates of NBC, CBS, ABC, CW and My Network TV, and reaches approximately 6% of all U.S. television households.
